"The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want . . . I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever." Psalm 23
Winston Ngo Koon Segui, 53, of Gaithersburg, MD, formerly of Glendale Heights, IL, went home to be with the Lord July 21, 2020. He was diagnosed with pulmonary artery intimal sarcoma in late December 2019. He was born October 12, 1966, in Manila, Philippines, son of Eddie and Anita Segui. The Segui family immigrated to the Chicago area when Winston was seven years old. Winston always loved music and dancing: as a teen, he was known as “DJ Dry Ice”; as an adult, he entertained family and friends with karaoke and dance moves. He graduated in 1984 from Glenbard North High School and in 1988 from DeVry Institute of Technology (BS, Computer Information Systems). Winston’s career started with IT work at USA Today and culminated as Senior Project Manager at BroadPoint. He will be remembered for his devotion to the Lord Jesus Christ, his patience and sincerity, his faithful love and desire to serve his wife and family, and his leadership role in all of the kids’ activities. Winston loved Filipino food, cheering the Cubs, salvaging computers, engaging others in conversation, learning new skills on YouTube, being “All Sport,” and turning every moment into a coaching moment for his children. An active member for 30 years at Covenant Life Church, he participated in international dinners, softball team, parking crew, and guest reception team. Winston was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jose Segui and Julita Peralta, Alfonso Lim and Roberta Rabago; father-in-law, Bob Weisgerber; brother-in-law, Bobby Weisgerber. In addition to his parents, Winston is survived by his wife of 25 years, Janet (Weisgerber); daughter, Isabella; sons, Josiah, Micah, and Noah; sisters, Jessica Segui and Jo-An (Tony) Goebig; mother-in-law, Susan Weisgerber; sisters-in-law, Lisa Weisgerber and Becky (Bryan) Myers; nieces and nephews, Ethan and Mia Goebig, Caleb, Alexa, and Sophie Weisgerber, Abigail, Seth, and Joshua Myers; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins in the Philippines and in the United States.
