William Claney Rogers, 89, died March 11, 2025. He and his wife, Betty Kane Rogers, were married for 66 years and have five children - Bernadette, Diana, Jeanmarie, Anthony (Ann) and Martin and seven grandchildren - Kathleen ‘Nikki’, Brian, Carolyn, Julia ‘Rosie’, Joseph, Declan and Erin.
Bill graduated from Saint Gabriel's Grade School, Gonzaga High School, and The Catholic University of America in Washington DC with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Bill went on to work for Operations Research Inc. in Silver Spring for over 27 years as a Systems Engineer.
Bill was an avid outdoorsman, falconer, and car and motorcycle enthusiast. He was a voracious reader and especially loved scientific journals.
Visitation will begin at 10am on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at Saint Andrew Apostle Catholic Church, 11600 Kemp Mill Road, Silver Spring, MD, 20906; where the Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00am. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Silver Spring, MD.
