Theodore (Ted) Polydoroff, age 88 of Silver Spring, Maryland, died August 25. Ted was born in London, June 4, 1934 to Russian emigres Vladimir and Alexandra. He spent his childhood in Washington, D.C. graduating from Sidwell Friends School in 1952. He graduated from the University of Maryland where he was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. He received his law degree from American University Washington College of Law in 1958. He spent most of his career practicing transportation law, both for the Interstate Commerce Commission and in private practice.
Ted was an avid traveler and adventurer. Of special meaning were three trips to Russia where he visited his ancestral home of St. Petersburg. Among his favorite activities were scuba diving, soccer, ice hockey, gardening and spending time with friends and family. A great lover of animals, Ted had several Dalmatians and a German Shorthair Pointer over the course of his life which brought him great joy.
Ted is survived by loving wife of 58 years, Susan Wills Polydoroff, four children: Christopher (Diana Harvey), Stephen, Elise (Mark Wessel), Michael and grandchildren Nicholas, Stephanie, Connor, Alexander, Mallory, Madison, Hudson, Brock, Fisher and Ivan.
A private memorial service will be held.
