Stephen Peet Obituary

Stephen Dana Peet, born on December 18, 1942, in Rochester, New York, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2025. A proud graduate of Purdue University, Stephen earned his Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering in 1964 and went on to achieve a Master’s in Finance from American University.

For the last 15 years of his career, Stephen dedicated himself to Morgan Stanley, where he made significant contributions and fostered lasting relationships with colleagues and clients alike.

He was a passionate fly fisherman who cherished the beauty of nature and the joy of casting his line in tranquil waters. He also enjoyed exercising and valued spending quality time with his family.  Stephen lived in Key West, Florida, for the last twenty years of his life, often greeting his friends from out of town… “Welcome to Paradise”.

He is survived by his cherished daughters: Bridget Peet Conger and Deirdre Peet Baule, her husband, David Baule, and his stepdaughters, Lisa Willett and Cari Jackson. He was also a doting grandfather to Jack Peet Conger, Megan Constance Conger, Sarah Elizabeth Baule, and Hannah Peet Baule.

Stephen was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Grainger Peet, who was the love of his life.

A celebration of Stephen’s life will be held on October 18th, where family and friends will gather to honor his memory and share stories reflecting his impact on all who knew him.

He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
