Spero L. Courtis

Spero L. Courtis fell asleep in the Lord surrounded with love on February 29, 2024. He was the beloved son of the late Louis S. Courtis and Jennie Apostolakos. He is survived by his loving wife Sylvia; devoted father to sons Louis Christopher and Daniel (Linsey) Courtis; adoring grandfather to 5 grandchildren whom he deeply treasured - Riggin Louis, Winifred, MaryMarla, Clementine and Paulina. He is also survived by his dear sister Elizabeth (Tommy) Geanopulos; Uncle John (Kiki) Courtis; nephew and niece Troy (Annika) Geanopulos and Jennifer (Dimitri) Takos and many close and caring cousins.  He is loved by many friends and family members and will be missed dearly.

Relatives and friends are welcome Friday, March 15, 2024 at Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church of Washington D.C., 721 Norwood Road, Silver Spring, MD between 10-11am followed by the Funeral Service.  Internment will follow at Parklawn Cemetery in Rockville, MD. 

In lieu of flowers the family kindly suggests that memorial contributions be made to Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church of Washington, DC.
