Sheila Henderson Sorrells

Sheila Henderson Sorrells, beloved wife of Dennis Sorrells and mother of Andrew and Phillip Sorrells of Germantown, MD, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021 after suffering a stroke.

Sheila was born on September 25, 1959 in Washington, DC and lived in MD all her life. She graduated from Mount St. Mary's University, summa cum laude, with her B.S. degree in Business and Finance.

Sheila built an impressive career that spanned four decades selling complex technology solutions to large enterprise accounts in the public and federal sectors. Sheila earned respect and admiration from her colleagues which led to many long standing friendships in the systems integration community.

Sheila had a sparkling personality, grace and poise that instantly won people over. She enjoyed entertaining, travel, festivals and outdoor activities. Sheila was a smart, generous and affectionate woman whose greatest passion was her family. Sheila is survived by her husband Dennis and son Andrew Sorrells; her father Walter; her uncle George; her brothers Ian and Kevin Henderson; and her sister Gwen Parsons; as well as numerous extended family members.

A private church service will be held for immediate family followed by a virtual "Celebration of Life" at a later date. Sheila will forever be missed.
