Robert, or Bob as he was affectionately known, worked at NIH in Bethesda and Rockville, Maryland as a clerk. Bob enjoyed traveling and photography. While he enjoyed spending a week most summers at Ocean City, he had also traveled all over the country. When others started switching to digital cameras, Bob continued to use cameras with regular film and took many pictures of his travel adventures as well as at family get-togethers. He was a supporter of church supper fundraisers and enjoyed attending those with his aunt Eleanor and his mother.
A devout Catholic, Bob attended Mass at various Catholic parishes in the area including St. Mary’s, St. Jude, and St. Patrick’s in Rockville. Bob will be remembered not only for his spirit of independence and love for traveling, but also for recalling facts and memories from years past. He remembered birthdays and always asked about the well-being of old friends of his brothers and neighbors.
Visitation will be at 10:30 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m., on January 22, 2022 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 15661 Norbeck Blvd., Silver Spring MD 20906.
