Richard Thomas Haas

Richard (Dick) Haas, a long time resident of Rockville, died on April 4, 2018. He is survived by his wife Barbara of 54 years; daughter Jennifer; son Matthew and his wife Susan; four grandchildren, Riley, Spencer, Katie and Tyler. He is also survived by two brothers, Gary and Glenn. Dick grew up in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania where he attended high school. He then served two years in the Army before graduating from the University of Maryland in 1962, where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta National Fraternity.  

Richard served as the Vice President of Public Affairs at a national construction management association until his retirement in 2001.  He was a member of the American Society of Association Executives and the National Press Club, as well as a long-time member of Manor Country Club in Rockville.  He would like to be remembered for his love of family and the many activities he enjoyed.  He will be greatly missed.

A celebration of his life will be held at Manor Country Club, 14901 Carrolton Road, Rockville, Maryland on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 2:00 pm.
