Naser “Joe” Moinfar, a man with a heart of pure gold and the best father, husband, and friend anyone could ever ask for, passed away on November 15, 2025, surrounded by his family. He fought with extraordinary strength, courage, and grace, never once losing the warmth and kindness that defined him throughout his life.
Joe was born in Yazd, Iran on May 4, 1948. In the late 1970s, before the Iranian Revolution, he came to the United States in pursuit of education and opportunity. He built a life rooted in hard work, resilience, generosity, and boundless love. Through commitment and integrity, he established himself as a successful businessman, known throughout the community as “Mr. Loan”—Aghaye Vaum. His honesty and compassion earned him the trust and respect of everyone he met.
To his family, he was everything. Joe was a devoted husband to Haleh, and the most loving father to his son, Max, whom he supported every step of the way. He shaped Max into the man he is today—instilling in him kindness, strength, curiosity, and a shared love for cars. For nearly six years, father and son worked side-by-side running his business, creating memories and a bond that will last forever.
Joe also found joy in nature. He loved gardening, caring for animals, and nurturing the world around him. His garden was his pride—filled with figs, peaches, persimmons, basil, mint, and every plant he lovingly tended. He delighted in sharing the fruits of his garden with friends, neighbors, and family, offering the best of what he grew simply to make others happy.
He cared for everyone selflessly—his family here, his family in Iran, and anyone who needed a helping hand. He was a father not only to his own family, but to many who looked up to him. Even the family cat, Boots, who he spoiled endlessly, felt the warmth of his love and misses him deeply.
Joe leaves behind his wife, Haleh; his son, Max; his brothers, sisters, and extended family in Yazd; and countless friends whose lives were shaped by his presence. Losing him feels impossible. He was our friend, our brother, our husband, our father. But we will find a way forward with him in our hearts—carrying his love, his lessons, and his spirit with us always.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date, to be announced.
