Mary Monica Sparacino-Manser

 Monica Sparacino-Manser, 73, of McHenry, Maryland passed away peacefully on Friday, January 30, 2026 with her devoted husband Franz by her side.  

Monica was born on March 24, 1952 in Beckley, West Virginia. At the age of 12 her family moved to Silver Spring, Maryland where she grew up and lived many years. Monica met Franz at Columbia Country Club, Bethesda, MD where they both were employed. They married in 1990 and started their nearly 36 years together. After Franz retired in 2017, they relocated to McHenry, MD.  

Monica loved the quiet peacefulness of Deep Creek Lake, especially looking out her windows seeing all the wildlife. Nothing made a day better than plenty of snow and a good book.  

Monica is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Sparacino, Jr. and Antonina Sparacino-Kinsella. 

Besides her loving husband Franz, Monica is survived by her sisters, Connie Fourney (Bill) and Paulette Helman (Carl) and brothers, Joe Sparacino (Caterina) and John Sparacino (Brenda). 

She was also a cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be at St. Andrew Apostle Catholic Church, 11600 Kemp Mill Road, Silver Spring, MD 20902 on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 from 10 am until 11 am. with Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Interment service immediately following at Gate of Heaven Cemetery Chapel, 13801 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, MD 20906.
