Maria Reyes, of Germantown, MD, passed away July 11th, 2023. She was born on March 19, 1941 in Guatemala.  She married Juan Garcia the 1960's and then, after the passing of her husband in 1989, moved to the US; particularly to Montgomery County in Maryland where she lived with her family ever since.

She was very active member of Centro Cristiano En sus Manos of Huntington, MD and served as a diaconate.

Maria Reyes is survived by her adult children, Ana Castillo, Irma Vallecanas, Sonia Aguilar, Otto Garcia, Juan Jose Garcia; in-laws Pastor Yuri Vallecanas, Luis Aguilar, Ruth Jackeline Garcia, Amalia Garcia; 14 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held on July 21 at 7pm at Veirs Mill Baptist Church located at 12221 Veirs Mill Road, Silver Spring, MD 20906. Burial service on Saturday July 22 at 10am at Norbeck Memorial Park located at 16225 Batchellors Forest Road, Olney, MD 20832.
