Malcolm Y. Weaver passed away silently at his home in Silver Spring, MD on Wednesday Sept 23,2020. Malcolm, also known as “Little Mac” was born on April 20, 1931 in Bealeton, VA to the late Malcolm and Nellie Weaver. Malcolm relocated to Washington DC in the 1960s.
Malcolm was the owner of Weaver Taxicabs of Montgomery County in the 1980s.
He loved baseball and was a diehard fan of the Baltimore Orioles and eventually the Washington Nationals.
Malcolm is preceded in death by his mother Nellie Weaver; his father Malcolm C. Weaver; one sister Hattie Louise Jenkins, one brother Edward Weaver.
Malcolm leaves to cherish his wife of 44 years, Maria Bernarda Weaver of Silver Spring, MD; one daughter: Barbara Sharp of Bealeton, VA; and 3 brothers: Ray Weaver of Washington, DC, Carl Weaver of Maryland and Rod Weaver of Pennsylvania; and host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 9705 Summit Avenue, Kensington, MD 20895, on Saturday, October 3 starting with a viewing at 11:00 am followed by the funeral service at 12:00. Interment private. Masks must be worn and social distancing observed.
