Lillian H. Long-Corey

It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Lillian H. Long-Corey, of Rockville, MD, who entered eternal rest on January 23, 2026, at the age of 95.

Lillian was the beloved wife of her first late husband, James Long, and her second late husband, Ken Corey. She was preceded in death by her siblings Marie Gorby (Ray), Dorothy Brock-Bates (Eddie and Walter), Roberta Austin, Thomas Ashton (Naomi), Bert Ashton, and Anne Long (John), and by her brother Ray Ashton, who is survived by his wife, Shirley. She was also preceded in death by her cherished grandson, Brian Dufur and beloved son, Michael Long who is survived by his wife Cassie.

Lillian was a devoted and loving mother, survived by her children Sharon Dufur (Bob), Robert Long (Trish), Jimmy Long, Gary Long (Crissy), and Ronnie Long (Susan). She was the proud grandmother of: Bobby, Brian, Michael, Amy, Douglas, Jillian, Olivia, Kaistha, Rodney, Harrison, Ronnie, Nicole, Brittany and Candice; and her 10 great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

Lillian was a beautiful and loving woman whose smile could light up any room. She loved her sisters, brothers, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews fiercely and unconditionally. She will be remembered for her deep devotion to family, her love of music and dancing, and the warmth and joy she brought into the lives of everyone who knew her.

She will be missed beyond words. Lillian’s legacy lives on through her family and through every life she made brighter simply by being herself.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Shrine of St. Jude, 12701 Veirs Mill Rd, Rockville, MD, on February 14, 2026 at 11:00AM. A viewing will be held at the church prior to the Mass beginning at 10:00AM. Interment will immediately follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 13801 Georgia Ave, Silver Spring, Maryland 20906.  All are welcome to attend.
