Leopoldo Nicolas Elias

Leopoldo Nicolas Elias, of Riverdale, Maryland, was born on December 6th, 1961 and passed away on July 22nd, 2023. Leopoldo was born in San Salvador, El Salvador, he was a brother of 12 siblings to Leopoldo Romero and Natividad De Jesus Elias.

Leopoldo is survived by his three children: Asmeth Elias, Julio Elias and Leopoldo Elias. He was the much-loved grandfather to 2 grandchildren. He was also blessed to be the brother of 8 brothers and 4 sisters.

Leopoldo was born in San Salvador, El Salvador. Leopoldo migrated to the United States in 1985 in hopes of a better life for his family. During his time in the United States, he worked hard to provide for his family. From working 1-2 jobs a day, he always made sure his family was well taken care of. In his spare time, he loved spending time with family, traveling up Route 1 during the weekends and fixing up his new house by gardening.

Leopoldo will always be remembered for his dedication and love to his wife and family, sense of humor and generosity to his family and friends.

Visitation will begin at 10am on Monday, July 31st at St. Marks Catholic Church, 7501 Adelphi Rd, Hyattsville MD, 20783. The Funeral Mass will begin at 11am.  Interment to follow at Maryland National Memorial Park in Laurel, MD.
