Leo Eric Dundon

Eric was born on December 11, 1943 as an only child raised in Washington, DC. He later moved to his current home in Kensington, MD. He graduated from American University in 1969 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.

Eric worked at Giant Food, Inc for 14 years. While there, he received many presidential awards for recognition for outstanding performance and service to Giant Food. He was a department manager and won an award for best department.

After Giant Food, Eric owned and operated his own Pepperidge Farm cookie business where he was also nominated for distributor of the year, until his retirement.

Eric had many interests. In his younger years before he met Helen, he loved racing and received class winner trophies from different speedways and drag ways. He also loved fishing and over the years received many Chesapeake Bay sports fishing tournament trophy citations.

He enjoyed spending time on his boat and at the beach - taking long walks, sitting on the beach, watching the waves, and feeding the birds.

Eric was baptized into the 7th day Adventist church at Burnt Mills church October 16, 1993. He was ordained as a deacon on January 6, 1996 and continued as deacon in charge until his death.

He loved having the responsibility of this position in the church.

There will be a Celebration of Eric's Life on Tuesday, February 18th at Burnt Mills SDA Church, 10915 Lockwood Dr, Silver Spring, MD 20901 at 11:00am with Visitation just prior from 10:30am-11am. Graveside service to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Silver Spring, MD. Everyone is invited to share a meal with the family after the Graveside Service at the church fellowship hall.
