Kimmie was born in Clearwater, FL, and moved to Maryland in 2017 to be near her family. She was an accomplished aerialist, avid fitness buff, skier and was a great, great lover of dogs - Buford, Lolly, and Murry. She earned two AA degrees and was planning to graduate with her BS in legal studies in the fall. She loved to laugh and cook, always with condiments - “mayonnaise makes the meal!” She painted introspective contemporary art, briefly wrote an online column Life With Dogs, and loved her Christmas traditions.
She is survived by her parents, Jackie and Gene Kern; brother Travis, sister-in-law Heidi, and nieces, Hannah and Lydia Kern; and her four-legged sister, Hanly.
