Kenneth Webster Mease passed away on August 22, 2022. Ken was an immensely talented storyteller and broadcaster who spent 17 years delighting the Washington DC audience as a Sports Anchor at WUSA-TV 9. Prior to arriving at WUSA, Ken spent the 70s and 80s as a Sports Anchor for KDKA and WPXI in Pittsburgh, as well as 4 years as Athletic Director for Robert Morris University.
Ken was known just as much if not more for his genuine kindness and affable demeanor to anyone who came in contact with him. He was a wonderful friend and mentor to many as well as a dedicated husband to his wife Paulette and loving father to his three sons Kert, Bart and Blake.
Visitation will begin at 9am on Tuesday, August 30 at Our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Church – 14139 Seneca Road, Darnestown, MD 20874; where the Funeral Mass will begin at 10am. A reception following the Funeral will be held in the Our Lady of the Visitation Parish Banquet Room below the church.
Interment will be held at 2pm on Thursday, September 1 at Holy Savior Cemetery in Gibsonia, PA.
