Kathleen “Kathy” Kinsella of Silver Spring, MD, passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2021. Kathy was born in Lakewood, OH, in 1947. While living in Honolulu, she earned a master’s degree in Sociology from the University of Hawaii and was active in the local community, volunteering at the Mōʻiliʻili Community Center. Kathy also lived and worked in Sacramento, CA, Washington, DC, Arlington, VA, and Atlanta, GA before retiring from the State of Georgia at the end of 2013. Most recently, Kathy volunteered her time working with the strategic planning committee at Leisure World.
Predeceased by sister Maureen, Kathy is survived by daughter Ruth Miyashiro, brothers James (Kit Bleecker) Kinsella, and John (Lillian Stewart) Kinsella, sisters Ruth Anne (Adam) Leskowicz, Eileen (Ron) White, and Jeaunett Schnupp, along with 13 nieces and nephews and their families.
Memorial celebration will be planned for a later date.
