Justine M. Aronne

Justine M. Aronne, age 94, passed into eternal life on Wednesday, December 31, 2025. She is survived by her devoted children: Marie Riley, Antoinette Kilner (Patrick), Louise Nalley (John), and Eugene Joseph (Catherine), 17 adoring grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, her brother Bernard (Jane) and sisters-in-law Evelyn and Anna. Justine was predeceased by her beloved husband Eugene, brothers Joseph and Richard, great-grandson John Paul Kilner, daughter-in-law Jo Ann, and son-in-law Daniel. 

A native of Brooklyn, New York, Justine joined her husband in DC as a young bride. She was an active parishioner and CCD teacher for many years at St. Mary'sin Landover Hills and at the Church of the Resurrection in Burtonsville, and with her husband, a member of the Antonio Gatto Lodge of the Sons of Italy. In the 1970s, Justine worked as an administrator at DeMatha Catholic High School. She was a talented pianist, seamstress, cook and baker who delighted in entertaining, clothing and feeding her family. Justine was a born hostess who welcomed people lovingly into her home. 

Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 5 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 9705 Summit Avenue, Kensington, Maryland, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m.
