John Edward Hodor

John Edward Hodor, of Olney, MD originally of Rankin, PA passed away peacefully in the company of his loved ones on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at the age of 83.  John was a devoted husband of 55 years to his late wife Janice M. Hodor.  Loving father of John M. Hodor (Teresa), Mark P. Hodor (Stephanie) and Kimberly H. Maxwell (Robert). Adoring Poppy of Kelsey Hodor, Caiti, Kayla and Davis Hodor, Ryan, Kathryn and Brayden Maxwell and the late Nicholas Hodor.  Great Poppy of Jace and Johnny Rybak. Loyal brother of Robert Hodor.  In addition, John leaves behind extended family, including many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and life-long friends whom he loved dearly.

John was a computer programmer and project manager helping to design the software currently running the Federal student loan program.  John had a tender heart and easy-going personality always wanting to please others. He had a wonderful sense of humor and it truly made him happy to see others laugh and smile at his jokes.  He was very dedicated to his family always putting their needs first.  He loved family gatherings and reminiscing about good times.  He found much delight in spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Visitation will be at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 4101 Norbeck Road, Rockville, MD on Thursday, January 5, 2023, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, with welcomed remembrances at 7:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick’s on Friday, January 6, 2023, at 11:30 am followed by Interment at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
