Jazmyn Naomi Howard was born on April 11, 2006, in Silver Spring, Maryland, to Vanessa Prospere and Ronald Howard.
The name Jazmyn means “gift from God.” With Persian origins, it also signifies beauty, grace, and love. And that’s truly who she was—a beautiful gift from God.
During her life’s journey, Jazmyn attended Church of the Redeemer, where she was baptized in 2018. She volunteered in the children’s ministry, helping in Sunday School and sharing her love and joy with the younger kids. Jazmyn continued her passion for caring for children by providing childcare to families throughout Montgomery County.
Jazmyn was loving, encouraging, and compassionate. She naturally poured into those around her—her friends and family alike. She cared deeply for her family in countless ways, from doing her little sisters’ hair for school to making tea and soup when someone wasn’t feeling well. She was always there to nurture, support, and uplift.
Her personality was infectious, and her smile could light up an entire room. Jazmyn was deeply creative—she loved drawing, writing, dancing, and spending time with her friends. She expressed herself through her style, makeup, and cooking. She enjoyed thrifting, doing her hair and nails, and experimenting with new recipes. Her unique dishes and playful spirit brought joy and laughter to everyone around her.
Jazmyn was also a proud cat mom to Sparkle Beenie and Dutchess, whom she adored.
Sadly, Jazmyn departed this life on October 27, 2025, in Rockville, Maryland. She was loved by many and will be missed every single day. We will continue to honor her memory, celebrate her life, and keep her legacy alive. She left us too soon, but we know she would want us to keep smiling and keep moving forward.
Jazmyn will be lovingly remembered by her mother Vanessa Prospere, father Ronald Howard, sisters Tamia Howard, Faith Howard, and Bella Howard, brother Jaylin Howard, aunt Victoria Stefkovich, uncles Eric Howard, Paul Prospere, and Adam Stefkovich, grandparents Sanciel Charles and William Barnes, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Paulemond Prospere, and Sharon and Ronald Howard.
