Obituary

James Sharpe Stanton, Jr. was born in Washington DC, and began his career in finance after graduating from American University. He moved to Surfside Beach, SC several years ago to fulfill a wish of living near the ocean after retiring. He was an avid diver, cyclist, runner, fisherman boatman and loved all sports. His greatest love was his family and friends. He will be greatly missed

Beloved son of the late Katherine M. and Dr. James S. Stanton; brother of Katherine (Paul) Roddy, Marie Cardany, Patrick (Jeannette) Stanton, John (Kathleen) Stanton, Sarah (John) Rasmussen, David (Mary) Stanton, Mary Margaret Barry and the late Dr. Michael Stanton ,Mary Elizabeth Walsh and Paul L. Stanton. Also survived by 18 nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call at St. Patrick's Church, Norbeck and Muncaster Mill Roads, Rockville, MD, Friday, April 8,  2022, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., where the Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery.  Memorial  contributions may be made to ASPCA. https://secure.aspca.org/donate/donate
