Isaura Quant Lau

On Friday,March 3rd,  Isaura Quant Lau, 104, passed away surrounded by her family. Isaura, or “Mita” as she was more often referred to, migrated to the United States in 1971 from her birth country of Nicaragua. 

She is survived by children Orlando, Lesbia, Roberto, Vicente, Jorge and grandchildren Ana Maria, Marisol, Jennifer, Michele, Orlando, Francisco, Yesenia, Roberto, Eliza, Emily, Abraham, Sara, Natalia, Jorge, Ana, Mayra and Emmanuel. Predeceased by husband Manuel de Jesus Lau Castro, sons Francisco, Eduardo, Ramiro, parents Santiago and Josefina and sisters Isabel, Amanda, and brother Santiago. 

Visitation will be at Shrine of St. Jude Catholic Church, 12701 Veirs Mill Road, Rockville, MD 20853 on Friday March 10, 2023 from 11am until 11:30am, with Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am.  Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery at 1:00pm.
