Isabel Weeks

Isabel Weeks, age 65, passed away peacefully Thursday May 12th 2022, after courageously battling cancer for almost two years.

Born in Tarija, Bolivia to Inez Zenteno Campero and Luis Alberto Campero. Isabel moved to Washington, D.C. in 1979. She fell in love with America, the land of endless opportunities. A country she made her home for forty three years. Throughout her life, she dedicated all her love and energy to supporting her family: Her husband John, and her four children: Mark, Cristhel, Alberto, and John Paul. As well as her grandson, Tahar. The thoughtfulness and limitless amounts of energy she brought to each day, ensured that her children could follow their dreams and reach new heights. From the BBQs to the unforgettable Christmas parties and birthday surprises, she always found a way to fill our hearts with joy. The love she emanated reached far beyond her family. To Isabel, her friends were also part of her lifeline. She loved each and every one of them, and her life was made all the more vivid through them.

Isabel truly was a shinning beacon of light in our lives. We are forever grateful and honored to call her, Mom. Her unconditional love and resilient spirit will carry on for eternity. On behalf of the Weeks Family, we would like to thank each and every one of her friends and family for the love and support they gave her during her battle with Cancer. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Our beloved mother fought with all of her might, but she was never alone, we all cared for her until the end.  We love you, Isabel.

In honor of this wonderful woman, we are holding a service at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Derwood, MD to celebrate her life. Visitation begins at 10am on Saturday May 28th with the Memorial Mass beginning at 11am. Following the service, a small gathering will be held at the Weeks' Family home.
