Ireta Mae Smith McFarlane left us for her heavenly home on May 25, 2023. She was born April 6, 1954 in Sherwood Content, Trelawny, Jamaica. She immigrated to the United States of America in the early 1980s. She lived in the DC Metro area for many years before moving to Florida in 2005. 

Ireta is survived by her two children Sheena Brown and Jason McFarlane, her son-in-law Carlyle Brown, and her grandchildren Carly, Seth, and Ethan Brown. She is also survived by many loving family members. Her family was very important to her and she spent much time staying connected to them and supporting them through many life experiences. Her greatest joy was to serve the Lord in everything she did. Worshipping God gave her life and strength. She was often found praying for everyone and anyone who needed it.

Her homegoing service will be held June 10, 2023 at 11am at Rockville Church of God.
