Ingdayehu Wubu was born on November 20, 1941 in Aferuaenat, Ethiopia. He moved to Gondar at age 10 to live with his grandparents and attend elementary school. He later studied architecture and engineering at university and worked in the telecommunications industry.
Due to conflict in the country, he was forced to leave Ethiopia in 1974 and eventually settled in Nairobi, Kenya, where he got married, started his own architectural practice, and had two daughters. He and his family moved to the US in 1988 and eventually settled in Silver Spring, Maryland, where he lived for the remainder of his life.
Ingdayehu was a respected member of the community, made great contributions to the church, and served on the board of the Gondar Development and Cooperation Organization (GDCO). He is survived by his wife, Aynalem, and daughters, Tigist and Selam.

Funeral Services will take place on Monday, July 15, 2024, from 9:30am to 12:00 noon, at DEBRE HAIL KEDUS GABRIEL ETHIOPIAN ORTHODOX TEWAHEDO CHURCH, 2601 EVARTS ST. NE, WASHINGTON, DC 20018. The Burial Service will follow at PARKLAWN MEMORIAL PARK, 12800 VEIRS MILL RD, ROCKVILLE, MD 20853.
All are invited to a Funeral Reception following the Burial Service from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm, at DEBRE HAIL KEDUS GABRIEL CATHEDRAL HALL, 2601 EVARTS ST. NE WASHINGTON, DC 20018.
