Hea Soon Kim
Obituary
Hea Soon Kim of Silver Spring, MD passed away peacefully at home on August 9,2023. She was born on January 28, 1939 in North Korea. She married Dr. Taek Kyong Kim in October 1963. The couple moved to the United States in 1964 for Taek Kyong's residency in Ohio.
Hea Soon completed her Master's degree in chemistry at Ewha/Yonsei University. She worked as a pharmacist/lab technician until she had her first child in 1965. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. She was an avid golfer and a member of Lakewood Country Club for many years.
She leaves to mourn: her husband Taek Kyong Kim, her daughter Nancy, her sons Gene and Thomas and her grandchildren Alexander, Rachel, Eleanor, Jason, Justin, Jacob and Madison and her younger sister Grace Lee.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, August 14, 2023 at 11:00 am at Global Mission Church of Greater Washington, 13421 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring MD, 20906.
Lunch reception will follow.
