It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Georgios ‘George’ Michael, a cherished family man, who peacefully departed this world on August 25, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Cyprus in 1945, George's life was a testament to love, perseverance, and the importance of family bonds.
George's journey was one of strength, generosity, and unwavering love for his family. He was a loving husband, a nurturing father, and an adoring grandfather. His life was a tapestry woven with the threads of family togetherness and the joy he found in the company of his grandchildren.
Beyond his roles as a family man, George was a reflection of his Cypriot roots. His upbringing on the beautiful island of Cyprus instilled in him a strong sense of community and a deep appreciation for life's simple pleasures. He carried the warmth of his homeland in his heart, radiating it through his interactions with all he encountered. Evident to anyone from the moment they met George, his love for Cyprus was unwavering and a source of pride he exuded to all around him.
George's legacy extended beyond his immediate family. His caring nature and generosity touched the lives of extended family, friends, and acquaintances, leaving an imprint that will not fade with time. He demonstrated time and again that the bonds of kinship are not limited to blood, extending his love and kindness to all who crossed his path.
George's passing leaves a void that can never be filled, but his memory will forever remain etched in the hearts of all who knew him. He was a source of strength, a wellspring of wisdom, and a constant pillar of support for his family and friends. George is the beloved husband of Joan Michael, father of Loukas Michael, Ann Marie Hill, and Maritza Bhattarai, and devoted grandfather of Peter Michael, Luke Hill, Paulina Michael, Joseph Hill, Alex Michael, Cyrus Bhattarai, and his baby girl, Aliya Bhattarai.
