The world was made brighter when Evangelos “Angie” Buas was born March 17, 1949 and was sadly darkened on July 13, 2023 upon his passing. He was born in Washington, D.C. to the late Christos and Urania (Duni) Buas. Angie had three loving sisters, the late Katherine Cholakis (her husband was the late Thomas Cholakis), Elaine Buas, and Anastasia Ruocco.
On July 17, 1976 he married the love of his life, the late Diane Miller Buas. He and Diane had two beautiful girls, Marissa Zeveigenhaft (husband Lanir) and Alexandra Andrakakos (husband Christopher). His girls were the lights of his life. He was a part of every aspect of their lives while also running his own security installation company called Comsec. Angie was also a very doting and proud Papou (“grandfather”) of Kai Zeveigenhaft (15yrs old) and Konstantine “Gus” Andrakakos (8mos old).
Angie was also the son-in-law of the late Louis and Anne Miller, the brother-in-law of Caroline Tunison (Patrick), John Miller (Terry Fusco) and Richard Miller (Linda). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Angie was known for the size of his infectious smile, his sense of humor, his unwavering loyalty, and faith. But what made Evangelous Buas loved by all who knew him was the enormity of his heart. He was by your side in the tough times, made you laugh when you felt like crying, and made good days even brighter.
May Evangelos’ soul and all the souls of the faithfully departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
