Elsie Ortizo Marte, aged 69, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2023, with her daughter and family by her side.  Elsie was born July 4, 1953, at Dingle, Iloilo City, in the Philippines to loving parents, Pablo Bunda Ortizo and Salome (Caalem) Ortizo, and to eight siblings.  Elsie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ruddy Dela Rosa Marte and is survived by her daughter Ethel Rhoda, and son-in-law Marc Hernando.

Elsie was a devoted wife, mother, friend, and neighbor. She was kind and generous to her family and extended family and will be missed by all.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at St. Andrew Apostle Church – 11600 Kemp Mill Road, Silver Spring, MD, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 noon. Reception after Mass at 4131 Woodbine Street, Chevy Chase, MD.
