Donna Jean Hollingsworth

Donna Jean Hollingsworth, born November 14, 1928, went peacefully home to the Lord on Friday, January 6, 2023.  Donna will be missed by her family and many friends.  In her earlier years, she was an active member in her church and community, always taking care of those in need.  And never passed up an opportunity to go dancing with her beloved husband, Bob.  All who knew Donna knows that she always had a kind word, good advice, a great sense of humor and that quick wit, always willing to lend a hand, and her heart.  She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and will forever live on in all of us.

Donna leaves behind her loving daughters, Becky Hollingsworth, Beth McIntyre (Mike), Chrissy Kavounis (Gus).  Grandchildren, Melanie Chernoff (Jesse), Lauren Campbell, Christopher Kavounis (Annie), and Kevin Kavounis (Samantha).  Great grand children, Madison Willett, Brooks Campbell, Sophia Kavounis, Mackenzie Kavounis, and Carson Kavounis.

Visitation will begin at 10am on Monday, January 23 at Church of the Redeemer, 19425 Woodfield Road, Gaithersburg, MD 20879; where the Funeral Service will begin at 11am.  A reception will immediately follow at the church until 1:15pm.  The Interment will take place at 2pm at St. Mary's Cemetery, 1350 Baltimore Road, Rockville, MD 20851.

Flowers are welcome (to be delivered directly to Church of the Redeemer) as Donna loved flowers.  But memorial donations may also be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital (details below) or to a Hospice organization of your choice.
