Diane Marie Argyros

Diane Marie Argyros, age 75, passed away peacefully Thursday May 4, 2023.  The daughter of Voula Zazanis, she was born on February 3, 1948 in Washington DC.  Diane will be remembered for her strong faith, and her kind, giving, caring, compassionate nature. 

Diane was a loving, faithful member of St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Washington DC. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, spending time with family, and above all fishing.

Diane is survived by her children, Anastasios “Tassos” (Stacy) Argyros, Eftuhia “Effie”(Mark) Frankowski; grandchildren, Sophia Frankowski, Vasilia “Lia” Frankowski, Christina Argyros, and Nicoletta Argyros.  She was one of four children and is also survived by her brother James Whitefield and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Thomas Whitefield; and sister Mary Wilkinson.

Visitation will begin at 10am on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Washington DC; where the Funeral Liturgy will begin at 11am.  Interment to follow at Ft. Lincoln Cemetery in Brentwood, MD.
