David William Goodacre

David Goodacre, age 63, of Rockville, MD, died on July 31, 2021.  Dave grew up in Silver Spring, MD and lived in the area his entire life.  He graduated from the University of Maryland.  He worked for Fresh Fields / Whole Foods for over 20 years.  Dave loved traveling with his wife Gerrie - especially to the Outer Banks of North Carolina, though they were evacuated numerous times due to hurricanes.  One of his passions was solving crossword puzzles.  He always had dozens printed out and ready to go. 

Survivors include his wife Geraldine (Gerrie) Wetzel, brother Rodger, his wife Christine of Gettysburg, PA and their daughters Amanda and Faith Goodacre, as well as his brother-in-law and oldest friend Scott Wetzel, his wife Paddi, and their sons, Ryan and Bradley Wetzel.  He is also survived by his brother-in-law Gordon Wetzel of Pittsburgh, PA and sister-in-law Bernice Wetzel of Selinsgrove, PA.

A private graveside service for family will be held August 9, 2021.
