The life of Cinette (Quetant) Alexandre started in L’Azile, Haiti on October 11, 1946 from the union of Ornelia Coulange and Clermeus Quetant, deceased. Coming from a family of 9 children, she was the fifth child: Raoul, Lamercie, Clervil, Clarice, and Elia Quetant deceased. Mirene, Loraine and Soliny Renol Quetant. She grew up in Port Au Prince, Haiti with her godmother, Mrs. Valantin Boniface, deceased. She traveled to the United States of America in 1980 and found her way to Stamford, Connecticut. In the following years she moved to Brooklyn, New York.
It was there that she met her husband, Mr. Martes Alexandre. She again, returned to Connecticut , where she and Martes were married on July 14, 1990. From this union, two children were born, a girl Martine and a boy Robert “Jimmy”. Cinette enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing and spending time with her family and friends.
In 2015 after retirement Cinette and Martes moved to Maryland to be closer to their two children. She enjoyed spending quality time with her family, her daughter-in-law and her two grandchildren. After courageously fighting her Illness, she peacefully passed away at home with her family by her side, on June 1, 2024. We pray for peace for her soul, in her final resting place.
Cinette is survived by her Husband Martes; her two children Martine and Robert, her daughter-in-law Cassandra and two grandchildren Remy and Naomi; her three siblings, Mirene, Lorraine, Soliny Renol and their families.
Visitation will begin at 10am on Friday, June 14, 2024 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Derwood, MD where the Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11am. Interment will folllow at Parklawn Memorial Park, Rockville, MD.
A Reception will follow from 2:30-5pm at Evolution by Reich World, 15237 Display Court, Rockville, MD 20850.
