Christopher Zorc Obituary

We are saddened to share that Christopher Joseph Zorc, aged 34, passed away on June 10th, 2026. His death was tragic and unintentional, and followed a years-long battle with bipolar disorder. Christopher is survived by his beloved grandmother, Mary Louise Cullen; his loving parents, Doctors Lori and Tom Zorc; and his six siblings, Thomas, Leen, Meghan, Caroline, Peter, and Patrick. They will all miss him dearly.

Christopher was born January 28th, 1992, in Washington, D.C. He was the second child of seven. A Christmas card from when he was five shared, “He is usually smiling or trying to make one of us laugh. He is a very caring, gentle, helpful person but he can also make the biggest mess and push his siblings and mother to their farthest limit!”

He attended Little Flower, Mater Dei, St. Anselm's Abbey, Georgetown Prep, Tulane University, Montgomery College, and Fordham University. He swam competitively for Congressional for many summers and attended and worked as a counselor at Camp Stella Maris in Livonia, NY.

Christopher was a kind soul who always helped those in his midst. He was a builder, a problem-solver, and a creator. He started many businesses over the years, always striving to be of service to his community. Most recently, he felt passionately about empowering the elderly by teaching them how to integrate new technologies into their lives so they’d feel more connected to their families. Christopher wanted to ensure no one felt left behind.

Never one to sit still, he was a hard worker and a proactive helper. He loved assisting his dad with jobs around the house, catching crabs to share with his family, and visiting his grandmother several times a week to make sure she had company. His homemade pizza and charcuterie boards were unrivaled. He was a fantastic artist, a social butterfly, an all-star host, and a generous soul. He lived passionately and had such a zest for life, pouring himself into his hobbies, his relationships, and his work.

A wake service and visitation will be held on Friday, June 19, 2026 between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 9200 Kentsdale Drive, Potomac MD, 20854. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 20th, 2026 at 11:00 AM, also at Our Lady of Mercy Church. Friends and family are invited.

In lieu of flowers, we invite those who would like to honor Christopher by donating to Camp Stella Maris (CSM) - https://givebutter.com/christopher-zorc-memorial-fund-1ninwc  CSM was established by the Archdiocese of Rochester New York one hundred years ago, and prides itself on fostering a community of belonging, connections, and joy.
