Charles W. Cobb

Charles W. Cobb passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family on December 18, 2022 at the age of 90.  Charles was married in Bridgeton, New Jersey to his Bridgeton High School sweetheart in 1954 after his service in the Navy from 1950 to 1953 during the Korean War.  He graduated in 1958 from American University in Washington D.C. with a degree in economics after which he began work for the U.S. Department of Agriculture.  He retired from the U.S. Department of Agriculture in 1987 after 30 years of service. 

Charles was a loving family man.  He and Anna, his surviving wife of 68 years, had five children.  Two of his sons, Wayne and Clifford predeceased him and will be guiding him into heaven.  Charles is survived by his wife Anna, his children Deborah, Glen, and Clinton, and all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Thursday December 29, 2022 at 11:00 am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 12319 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring, MD 20904.  Burial with Military Honors will be held the same day at 1:00 pm at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 13801 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, MD 20906.

Family and friends are welcome to join for lunch and gathering after the ceremony at 2:30 pm in Ellicott City, Maryland, address to be announced.
