Cedric San Jose Polido, 52, of Kensington, Maryland, passed away on March 5, 2023. He was born to Cecilio Polido and Matilde San Jose on July 20, 1970 in Bacoor, Cavite, Philippines. He was the youngest of four children. He studied at the Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) until 1986, and moved to Hamilton, Ohio to continue studying at the University of Cincinnati.
Outside of work, Cedric enjoyed traveling, cooking, and jamming out with family and friends.He was an active member of the Legion of Mary and would also spend time singing in the Blessed Sacrament Filipino Choir every fourth Sunday. Ever since he moved to the states, his love for music not only grew, but he also developed a lifelong love for the Cincinnati Bengals.
He married his wife, Lota Peralta, in 2003, and moved to Maryland shortly after. Cedric is survived by his wife, Lota; children, Ella and Liam; siblings, Mylene, Cezar (Kelly), and Myra (Tony); nieces, Jia and Kate; nephews, Kenneth, Christopher, Andrew, and Jonathan; and mother, Matilde San Jose Polido.
He was preceded in death by his father, Cecilio Polido, and his nephew, Nico Palania.
The viewing will be on Monday, March 20, 2023 at 10 am with a Mass to follow at 11:30 am at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 9705 Summit Ave, Kensington, MD 20895. The burial will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 13801 Georgia Ave, Silver Spring, MD, 20906.
