Brierre Lacroix, 76, of Germantown, Maryland, passed away unexpectedly in his home on January 6, 2021, due to complicated medical conditions. He was born to his parents, Louis Lacroix and Selmize Clerge on October 27, 1944 in Nippes Department of Haiti.
Brierre was a devoted father to all of his children and to his family. He had a profound personal relationship with God since childhood that deepened his Christian faith. He was an awesome human being with a powerful mind and spirit, yet he was also friendly and very forgiving. Because of his generous spirit, he would always put other peoples' needs first before himself. To many that knew him, he was an amazing father like figure, a leader, a brother and a caring friend. Brierre's favorite saying was 'I love you' to anyone he would meet. He was always there for his kids through their ups and downs, and taught them to always pray and put Jesus first. He had an affectionate sense of humor and smile.
Brierre was a fighter, a hero, a King, who did his best to live a great and meaningful life, and made a difference in peoples' lives. His faith in God and Jesus Christ has helped him achieve numerous accomplishments and concur many obstacles throughout his life. He was a hero to many people in Haiti, and to this day people still called him 'Toro' (the bull) due to his fearless nature and strong leadership abilities. He had a passion for photography, communications, and in television broadcasting. His skills and achievements were highly praised. Brierre was preceded in death by his loving wife, Marlene, his brothers, relatives and his parents.
