It is with heavy hearts, we share the news of the passing of Beverly M. Lee of Rockville, Maryland, who died peacefully on January 17, 2026, surrounded by her loving children which she adored. A devoted mother whose love knew no bounds, her legacy will live on in their hearts forever. Beverly was a cherished daughter, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, who will be remembered for her warm smile, generous spirit, and the countless ways she brightened the lives of those around her. She truly lived life to the fullest.
She is survived by her daughter, Lynn (Kenneth) Honicker; son, Stephen (Dana) Pupkar; sisters Jo (Mark) Wingard and Linda Brown; niece Danielle Connell (Mike Pisaturo) and her two sons, Reda and Elias Fizazi; along with many cousins who will forever hold her memory close. She was predeceased by her parents, Margaret and Allison McQuin; birth father, Carl Moore; beloved Aunt Amy and Uncle Dick Winters, who lovingly stepped in as surrogate parents after her birth father’s passing; and lastly her longtime partner, Jerry Banaszak.
A celebration of her life will take place at 11 a.m. on February 20, 2026, in the chapel at the Cedar Lane Unitarian Church, 9601 Cedar Lane, Bethesda, MD. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Children's Inn at NIH in her honor.
Beverly’s generosity, warmth, quick wit, and dry sense of humor, which she carried with her until the end, will be deeply missed
