Beatriz Rosario Jansen

On Friday, January 31, 2020 Beatriz Rosario Jansen. Beloved wife of Darren Jansen; devoted mother of Joshua Jansen; daughter of Sofia Josefina Reaño and Teobaldo Ricardo Dulanto; Sister of  Laura Garcete, Betty Ruiz, Lidia Heredia, Guillermo Menacho, Jose Felix Menacho, José Bravo and the late Walter Dulanto.

An accountant by vocation, Beatriz was a devoted Catholic who celebrated and enjoyed life. She loved Latin artist Luis Miguel, loved food and enjoyed eating well. Fried plantains and “Five Guys” burgers and fries were her favorite. She also loved playing volleyball.

Beatriz loved helping out at the church. She became very involved with Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Washington DC and touched the lives of many in the community there. This allowed her to be very involved with her son's life. She later became an accountant at Sacred Heart. She loved organizing Christmas play gatherings for the kids in our family. She loved the beach. Originally from Lima, Peru, Beatriz  was born and raised near the beach.

Visitaion will be at St. Andrew Apostle Catholic Church, 11600 Kemp Mill Road, Silver Spring, Maryland 20902, on Thursday, February 6, 2020 from 4:00pm until 6:00pm and 7:00pm until 9:00pm; where Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, February 7, 2020 at 12:30pm. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Silver Spring, Maryland. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Beatriz’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital (details below).
