Atsuko Kinoshita Blevins Obituary

Mrs. Atsuko ("Sue") Blevins of Silver Spring, Maryland, passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 12, 2025, after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and fighting courageously for nine months.  She was born June 19, 1939 in Tokyo, Japan, and in 1965 came to the United States.  She worked as a Secretary and Administrative Assistant at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for 30 years. 


She cherished spending time with her grandchildren, ballroom dancing, going to classical music concerts and the Kennedy Center with her husband, and watching Major League Baseball.  She regularly attended Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Silver Spring, Maryland.


Sue is predeceased by her first husband Wayne Blevins and daughter Vivian. She is survived by her husband Robert Anders, son Ronald Blevins and his wife Deanna, grandchildren Rebekah and Sam; sister Akiko Cyr, nephew Ray Cyr, nieces Paula Cyr and Anna Doll and their families.


Family and friends of Sue will be received Monday, November 24, 2025, beginning at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Grace Church, 15663 Norbeck Blvd, Silver Spring, MD 20906. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 am, with Rev. James Boccabella officiating. Following Mass, she will be interred at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 13801 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, MD 20906.
