Peacefully & surrounded by loved ones on Dec 24 2019, William D. Gulban joined the heavens in his eternal resting place. He was the loving father of 3 daughters: Christine Kelley, Deanne Fosnocht and Nancene Salazar; Grandfather of Meagan Gendron, Alissa Stinson, Heather & Kiersten Kelley, Rachel, Abigail & Julia Fosnocht, and Tristan, Alexandra & Drew Salazar; Great-grandfather to Charlotte, Luke & Aurora Stinson. His fourth great grandchild is due soon.
Born in Gary, Indiana, he held a Bachelors degree from Purdue University in Engineering Science and 2 Masters degrees from American University. He served his country for over 31 years as a United States Air Force Reserve Officer and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. He worked for the Federal Government as a Systems Analyst for over 20 years. He belonged to the Catholic Fraternity Fourth Degree of Knights of Columbus for 27 years and his church choir.
He devoutly loved his God, his church, daughters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, his pets and sitting outside feeling the warm sun on his face. He thoroughly enjoyed traveling with his large family going to the beaches, Bahamas, mountain lakes, fishing, skiing; attending many first communions, confirmations, and high school and college school graduations.
Visitation will be at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 4101 Norbeck Road, Rockville MD 20853 on Saturday, January 11, 2020 from 10:30am until 11:30am, with Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am. Interment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
