Walter George Jeschke, 89, of Silver Spring, MD, passed away on Friday, August 17, 2018. Born in New York, NY, Walter was the son of the late Walter and Catherine [Rose] Jeschke. He was the husband of Rose M. Jeschke, and they shared 62 years of marriage together.
A Navy Radioman by trade, and retiring as an intelligence analyst, Walter enjoyed stamp and coin collecting, creating gardens, woodworking, as well as having a keen interest in family genealogy and history. He loved to read on a wide variety of subjects including art, history, and science. He also had a deep love of travel.
In addition to his wife, Walter is survived by his children Mark and Katherine, his son-in-law David, and his daughter-in-law Teresa.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Phyllis Nentwich.
Friends and family are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial which will be held on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 15661 Norbeck Boulevard (Leisure World) Silver Spring, MD 20906 beginning at 11:00 am. A viewing will be held prior at the church beginning at 10:00 am. Interment Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
