Robert Hollingsworth Obituary

Robert Harry Hollingsworth, of Rockville, Maryland, passed away peacefully in his home on April 3, 2018. He was a man of much strength, integrity, wisdom and compassion, which he conveyed to everyone who was fortunate enough to cross his path. He served in the U.S. Army in WWII from 1939 – 1945, 39 of those months spent in a Japanese prison camp. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Donna of 69 years; loving father of Rebecca Hollingsworth, Elizabeth Hollingsworth (Michael) and Christine Kavounis (Gus); grandfather of Melanie Pryor, Lauren Campbell, Christopher Kavounis and Kevin Kavounis; and great grandfather of Madison Willett and Brooks Campbell. His imprint on all of our lives will live forever.

Visitation will be at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4629 Aspen Hill Road, Rockville, MD on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 from 10:00 until 11:00 am With Funeral Services at 11:00 am. Interment St. Mary's Parish Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Robert's name to Disabled American Veterans. www.dav.org
