Paul Ciatto

God called Paul Ciatto home on September 27, 2018 from his residence in Silver Spring,Maryland.

Paul was born September 22, 1950 to the late Giuseppe and Giuseppa Ciatto in Washington, D.C. Paul is the youngest of ten children.

Paul came to the Arc of  Montgomery County on October 31, 1974 and was at CHI from June 30, 1973 until December 6, 2012. Paul was fortunate to have the wonderful people from this organization to care for him as well as Montgomery Hospice during his illness. Paul was an active member of the Georgia Avenue Baptist Church until his ill health prevented him from participating as actively as desired. He loved to attend church and sing along with the choir. He liked Elvis songs, Christmas music and church hymns.

Paul enjoyed his work at the Hillandale workshop and would be disappointed when he could not go to work because of holiday closings. He also enjoyed the parties and outings that the ARC sponsored and would like to dance at the parties. He was a sharp dresser and enjoyed wearing one of his hats with a suit and everyone enjoyed his wonderful sense of humor.

One of the highlights of his life was going to California and being at his favorite TV show “The Price is Right.”

Paul loved people and would always give a hug or hand shake, a friendly smile and a “Hi, how you doing?”

He is survived by one sister, Mary, three brothers, Tony, Mike, Patrick and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be at Georgia Avenue Baptist Church, 12525 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, Maryland 20806 on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at 11am. Interment Fort Lincoln Cemetery.
