Michele Ward Durbin passed away peacefully on September 21, 2017, at the age of 71 years.  Michele was born in Washington, D.C., the daughter of the late Dr. Thomas and Rosemarie Murphy.

A native of Washington, D.C., Michele graduated from Immaculata High School and the University of Maryland.  She became a CPA and spent the last 26 years working with non-profits, both as an employee and consultant.  Michele was the CFO of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington, D.C. for 11 years.  She also served on the Board of Directors and was Chair of the finance committee of So Others May Eat (SOME) for 13 years.

Michele is survived by her son, Sean (Sarah), and her daughter, Dawn (Ron), and five beloved grandchildren, Jackson, Max, Griffin, Tyson, and Grayson.  She will also be forever remembered by her loving siblings, Mel, Martha, Tom, and Mark along with her beloved relatives and friends.

Visitation will be at St. Bartholomew’s Catholic Church, 6900 River Road, Bethesda, Maryland on Saturday, October 7, 2017 from 10:00 until 11:00 am with Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Michele may be made to Montgomery Hospice (https://www.montgomeryhospice.org) or to St. Bartholomew Church.
