It is with great sadness that the family of Michael Kuo Chang announces his peaceful passing on Saturday, August 11th, 2018, at the age of 81 years. He was the youngest son of the late Qing-Tian Chang and Pei-Fang Luan Chang.
Michael will be forever remembered by his wife of 50 years, Angela, his children, Grace (Todd Cummings) and Oliver (Nicole), and his granddaughter Sophia and grandson Matthew. Michael will also be lovingly remembered by his brother Paul Tao (Rosemary) and two sisters-in-law (Wen-Fu Chang and Duo-Xuan Wang Chang) and by his numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. Michael was preceded in death by two brothers (Ti Chang and Bo Chang) and two sisters (Ji-Mei Chang Wang and Pauline Ji-Ping Chang Lee).
Michael was born in China and moved with his family to Taiwan when he was in grade school. He studied Forestry and graduated from National Chung Hsing University in Taiwan. After moving to the United States, Michael studied Electrical Engineering and subsequently enjoyed a career working in the Telecommunication Services industry in Canada and the U.S. He loved to travel, read, listen to music, and spend time with his family and friends. Above all, Michael was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather.
In order to celebrate Michael’s fulfilling and happy life, a “Celebration of Michael’s Life” gathering is being planned and will be held later this year for all of his family members and friends to join and to remember him together.
Private family services were held in Maryland.
