My sincerest sympathy goes out to all the Gallagher family. Mark and his family truly affected the lives of many people you don't even realize. Recently, I was talking to my daughter and her husband about a paper one of the four Gallaghers that I had taught at St. Mark's(Judy, Charlie, Katie or John) had written. In the paper they wrote about the family practice of going to the nursing home on Sundays after Mass. Today I live in a retirement community and my son-in-law's father is in a nursing home. I see my children doing the same as the Gallaghers, passing on the faith and traditions to the next generation, and I am very proud of them.

We are deeply saddened at the loss of such a fantastic person and former neighbor. I know that he is celebrating with his Lord and Savior in heaven whom he loved and served with all of his being.

May God's perfect peace keep his family in this time of sorrow.

Gallagher Family,
I'm so sorry for your loss. I didn't know Mark well (or "The Deacon" as Johnny called him and I knew him by), but well enough to know that he was an amazing man and father. Always a generous host and kind man when I visited Ocean City or Bethesda. I'll be keeping all of you in my prayers. I'm honored to have known him and to know your family.
Best,
Joe H.
