On Wednesday, August 8, 2018, Maria Hallas of Bethesda, MD who was born in Samos, Greece on July 27, 1931. She was the beloved wife of the late Spyros Hallas. Maria is survived by her children: Eleni Fredlund (John), Effie Tiches (Matt), Katherine Hallas (Michael) and Zeta Samblanet (Sean); grandchildren Zachary (Janae), Anastasia (Kevin), Kathryn, Maria (Demi), Louis, Eleni, Chrysse, Aleko; great grandchildren Kaitlyn, Alexis, John Dimond, Panagiotis, her sister Kiki, many nieces and nephews. The viewing will be held on Saturday, August 11 at 9:00 am at Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 701 Norwood Road, Silver Spring, MD 20915. Immediately following, the funeral will be held at 10:00 am at Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sts.
