Lynne Rae Smith

On Thursday April 4, 2019 Lynne R. Smith, age 57, of Rockville, Maryland passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones in the comfort of Georgetown University Hospital staff.  She is survived by her beloved Mother Annette Smith; brother Michael Emiline, sister Jeanne Smith, brother Van and nieces Gabrielle and Madelyn Smith, sister and brother in law Karla and John Daly, extended family members and 2 family dogs Emme and Smitty. Her Father Edward Smith predeceased her. 

Lynne was born on October 27, 1961 in Washington, DC.  A loving daughter, sister, aunt, friend and a life-time resident of the Washington DC area.  A graduate of Robert E. Peary High School in Rockville, MD.  A student at Montgomery College when she took a job as a county clerk for the Montgomery County Circuit Court.  She became a real estate settlement processor and obtained her real estate license.  A ski instructor at Liberty Ski Resort and a substitute teacher in St. Mary’s County, MD.  A sales representative at Jeanne’s Shoes and a sales and bridal consultant at Bed Bath and Beyond.  A member of Oakdale Emory United Methodist Church.

A memorial service and celebration of life will be held Thursday April 25, 2019, 11 AM, Oakdale Emory United Methodist Church, 3425 Emory Church Road, Olney, Maryland 20832. A memorial luncheon will begin at 12 PM in Brigham Hall with family and friends. Internment Private.
